Agreement for Educational Cooperation

Last Wednesday, November 21, Mr. Alberto Polanco, Santillana Group Manager and legal representative of Richmond Colombia, and Mr. Fernando Davila, President of Universidad Politècnico Grancolombiano signed the framework between these two organizations.

This agreement seeks to promote the creation of opportunities for mutual cooperation in the field of education in improving the competence of the English language in different aspects such as technical, academic, scientific, research and the common goals resulting from this cooperation.

This cooperative process will run through the signing of specific agreements between Richmond and Universidad Politecnico Grancolombiano, supported by operational plans or projects jointly developed.

he following are the areas of cooperation:

1. Development and improvement of education and training systems in the field of English language teaching.

2. Innovation in teaching materials for training referred to EFL.

3. Development of educational content in digital and print media that will improve the quality of teaching and learning English.

4. Design strategies for promoting the use of ICTs in the teaching of English.

5. Design and implementation of training programs and activities relating to the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language.

6. Formulation, design, implementation and evaluation of projects or activities that promote the language level of English teachers, students and the community in general in the territory of Colombia.

7. Strengthening and development of learning environments for teaching English.

8. Organizing training and academic events.

This alliance made between Richmond and Universidad Politecnico Grancolombiano is the first step in the team work process which seeks to improve the qualifications of English language teachers in Colombia.
